The simplest privacy promise is to collect less.
Saralivo limits collection to contact-form information and privacy-focused website performance and traffic measurements. The site does not currently offer accounts, comments, newsletters, or advertising.
Information the contact form collects
When you submit the form, Saralivo collects:
- your email address
- the message category you select
- the message you write, up to 5,000 characters
- the submission date and time
The information is used to review and respond to general inquiries, editorial corrections, accessibility feedback, privacy requests, and related messages. Do not submit passwords, financial account details, Social Security numbers, medical records, identity documents, or information that identifies a child.
Where a submission is processed and stored
The form is processed by a Cloudflare Pages Function. After server-side validation, the email address, category, message, and submission time are sent to GitHub and stored as an Issue in Saralivo's private repository. The GitHub access token is stored as an encrypted Cloudflare secret and is not sent to the browser.
Cloudflare and GitHub process this information under their respective service terms and privacy practices. Repository access should be limited to people authorized to handle Saralivo inquiries.
Hosting and technical delivery
The site is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Like other hosting and network providers, Cloudflare may process technical request information needed to deliver, secure, and operate its services under its own terms and privacy practices.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled to provide aggregated traffic and web-performance measurements. Its browser beacon is delivered by Cloudflare, and Cloudflare states that query strings are not logged to avoid collecting potentially sensitive data. Saralivo does not use advertising tracking, affiliate tracking, accounts, personalization, or custom analytics events.
External links
Saralivo links to government agencies and other external resources. Following a link takes you to another operator with its own privacy and security practices. Review the address and the destination's policy before providing information.
Children's privacy
Saralivo is intended to support family learning, but the contact form is for adults. Children should not submit it. Adults should not include information that identifies a child.
Any future feature that collects personal information—especially from or about a child—requires a separate privacy, safety, data-minimization, and legal review before it is enabled. The FTC explains that covered services collecting personal information online from children under 13 may have notice and parental-consent obligations under COPPA.
Future changes
This notice must be updated before adding another analytics provider, advertising, affiliate measurement, email subscriptions, accounts, personalization, uploads, or other data-collecting services.
A formal retention schedule, confirmed operator identity, governing jurisdiction, and final legal review are still required. Privacy questions or deletion requests may be submitted through the contact form using “Privacy request.”
